My Dad

I only said i LOVE YOU. OVER THE PHONE.

My dad was given a year to live in 1964, he lived till 1994. He lived for HIS FAMILY.

I remember, dad walking through the door and throwing a bag of sweets on the floor for us.

You don't know what you've got till it's gone.

..... Dad accepting my husband, although it took five long years.

I remember... My dad saying, I'd look good in a potatoe sack..... lol.

Dad attending my wedding and giving his approval.

I remember waiting outside the pub for him , we walked home, hand in hand.

I remember.... lying in bed at night. I could hear my dad, say to my mam. I LOVE YOU. before saying goodnight. this happened every night.

I REMEMBER WAKING UP TO A PLATE OF TOAST, IN FRONT OF THE FIRE. BEFORE GOING TO SCHOOL.
